Oquirrh Mountain Temple Wedding Photography-Shannon and Matt
Matt and Shannon were married in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. I was so excited to do their wedding photography. We were so worried about the weather that day. In true Utah fashion the forecast said rain and or snow for that weekend. Luckily there was no snow and it was just rain and only during the reception. If I am being honest I know they say rain on your wedding day brings good luck,(read more here) and I tend to agree since it poured on my wedding day and I am about to hit my 12th year of happily ever after.
One thing I think you need to know about these two is that they love to laugh. Not only that but their laughs are infectious. I found myself bent over, camera in hand, laughing with them so many times. These two just bring joy with them wherever they go.
I think my favorite thing about the reception is how very “them” it was. Matt and Shannon wanted it to be a party, and it was. They had planned outdoor games and a carnival theme for the outdoor space but had to move it all inside because of the weather. The food was decedent, they had several flavors of popcorn, cotton candy, games, fries and fry sauce, funnel cakes and churros.
Matt’s family are talented pianists. Matt sang Shannon their song and played for her. I dont think there was a dry eye in the house. It was sucha special moment and I am so thankful I was able to be a part of it.
